Extended Warranty Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Agreement") govern the extended warranty services provided by Prime Care for consumer appliances across India. By purchasing or availing our warranty services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the terms outlined below.

1. Definitions

Product: Includes Television (LED/LCD/Smart TV), Air Conditioner (Split/Window/Inverter), Washing Machine (Fully/Semi-Automatic/Front/Top Load), and Refrigerator (Single/Double/Triple Door).

Customer: Refers to the original purchaser of the product within India whose name appears on the invoice.

Company: Refers to Prime Care, the issuer and administrator of the extended warranty service.

Warranty Period: The duration of coverage as specified in the invoice or warranty certificate.

2. Scope of Coverage

2.1 Television (TV)
Coverage includes motherboard, power supply board, and internal electronic components. Display-related issues are covered only if specifically included under the selected warranty plan.

2.2 Air Conditioner (AC)
Coverage includes compressor (if part of selected plan), PCB, fan motor, condenser, evaporator, and gas leakage caused due to manufacturing defects only.

2.3 Washing Machine
Coverage includes motor, control board, gearbox, and drum-related mechanical failures under normal usage conditions.

✔ The warranty includes cost of spare parts and labour for all covered repairs.

3. Warranty Period

The extended warranty coverage begins immediately after the expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty. The validity period shall be 12, 24, or 36 months as specified in the invoice or agreement.

4. Product-Specific Exclusions

Television: Physical or accidental screen damage, external accessories such as remote controls, cables, stands, and cosmetic damages are not covered.

Air Conditioner: Routine servicing, gas refilling, installation or reinstallation, and damages arising from improper installation are excluded.

Washing Machine: Damages due to overloading, rusting, scaling, hard water effects, and plastic or cosmetic parts are excluded.

5. General Exclusions

  • Damage due to misuse, negligence, or accidental causes
  • Voltage fluctuations, power surges, or electrical faults
  • Natural calamities such as fire, flood, earthquake, etc.
  • Unauthorized repair or service by third-party technicians
  • Commercial or business usage (unless explicitly covered)
  • Consumable items such as filters, belts, batteries, etc.

6. Customer Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper installation, especially for air conditioners
  • Use stabilizers or voltage protection devices where recommended
  • Operate and maintain the product as per manufacturer guidelines
  • Maintain proper servicing and care of the appliance

7. Claim Process

  • Customer must contact authorized customer support to register a claim
  • Provide valid invoice and warranty details at the time of claim
  • Allow inspection of the product by authorized technician
  • Follow all instructions provided by service team

✔ Home service is available for large appliances subject to location and serviceability.

8. Repair, Replacement & Settlement

The Company will make reasonable efforts to repair the product. If the product is deemed beyond repair:

  • Replacement of the product may be offered, OR
  • Settlement based on depreciated value may be provided

Illustrative Depreciation Structure:

  • Year 1: 10% – 20%
  • Year 2: 20% – 40%
  • Year 3+: As per company policy

Multiple repairs do not guarantee replacement of the product.

9. Service Conditions

Service timelines may vary depending on availability of spare parts and geographic location. Services in remote or non-serviceable areas may take additional time.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Company's liability is strictly limited to repair, replacement, or settlement value of the product. The Company shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Loss of usage, inconvenience, or downtime
  • Data or software loss (especially in Smart TVs)

11. Cancellation & Refund

  • Free cancellation allowed within 7–15 days (provided no claim is made)
  • Post this period, refund shall be on prorated basis (if applicable)
  • No refund shall be issued once a claim has been registered

12. Transferability

The warranty is non-transferable and is valid only for the original purchaser unless explicitly stated otherwise.

13. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of appropriate consumer courts or commissions.

14. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be held liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, government actions, or supply chain disruptions.

16. Amendments

The Company reserves the right to modify, update, or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.


This document constitutes a legally binding agreement. By purchasing or using the service, the customer acknowledges acceptance of all terms mentioned herein.
